Conversation with Azul-Valerie Thome / by Megan Hollingsworth

Grief and Water

Azul-Valerie Thome brings forth a message of water with invitation for others to engage in dialogue. I'm very grateful that Azul thought to include me in this conversation.

"'Conversation with Grief' ~ with Megan Hollingsworth is part of a series of interviews with women and men engaging fully with our collapsing world, our dying systems, our collective grief and with our deep longing to fully participate in our world in ways of soul, imagination and beauty." - Azul-Valerie Thome / www.souland.org

Water's message along with the other dialogues facilitated by Azul-Valerie Thome can be read at SOULand / Conversations with Grief. Also listen at Sound Cloud.

In addition to the gratitude offered my Mother(s), I want to include gratitude to Sobonfu Somé whose work with Malidoma Patrice Somé inspired the 2007 grief ritual, co-facilitated by Francis Weller (Wisdom Bridge), that liberated me to know basic gladness. While my healing is with thanks to a variety of modalities and contact with certain individuals, I believe the grieving ritual cleared me of chronic depression and, thus, opened me to the possibility of greater healing.
